Saturday Talk on Sport: Cheltenham to Aintree

on National Programme Daventry

View in Radio Times

Captain Eric Rickman
('Robin Goodfellow' of the Daily Mail)
This evening Captain Rickman will discuss steeplechasing in special relation to next week's National Hunt Meeting at Cheltenham. (The race for the Gold Cup next Thursday is to be broadcast.) Light is always thrown on Aintree form, although there is 'many a slip' and many of the greatest chasers have distinguished themselves on Park courses to fail miserably at Aintree. Captain Rickman will recall some of the great incidents of past seasons, and some of the riders and horses of other years.
