Royal Gala Opening

on BBC Two England

HRH the Princess Royal was the guest of honour earlier this evening at the official opening concert of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
It's nearly 30 years since the city's St Andrews Hall was destroyed by fire, but its glorious acoustics are still remembered with affection.
The Scottish National Orchestra and Chorus are conducted by Bryden Thomson. BBC Young

Margaret Marshall , Jean Rigby , Neil Mackie and Simon Keenlyside.
