Experiment: Man-Made Fibres

on BBC Television

This is an age of synthetics. For centuries all textiles and fabrics were made from four natural products, wool, flax, cotton, and silk. Now, science has given us wonderful new fibres with greater strength and advantages.
This programme shows some of these fibres being made and demonstrates their uses.
