The Yellow River

on BBC Two England

Last programme in a six-part series
Towards the Delta
The river rises on the remote plateaux of Asia. Three thousand miles later, it ebbs away among windswept mud flats along the Gulf of Bo-Hai. Along its twisting course, over the centuries, different religions and philosophies have taken root -
Confucianism, Buddhism,
Taoism. Despite the turmoil and official credos of the last 40 years, they are all very much alive today.
Written and narrated by Stephen Jessel , former BBC correspondent in China. Film editor KEITH wilton
Producer viviana WOODRUFF
An NHK production in association with BBCtv
