Tonight from BBC Scotland The End of the Road
It took 12 years - but the road has finally come to the North Apple-cross peninsula in Wester Ross. Until it arrived, the area was a living museum of crofting. The only access to the settlements around the coast was by sea or by a footpath 23 miles long.
Tonight Brian Barr explores the road that's changing a whole way of life.
