The Children of Theatre Street

on BBC Two England

One of the most famous and influential schools of ballet in the world - the Kirov School - has produced the most renowned dancers of our century: Nijinsky, Pavlova, Nureyev and Baryshnikov. This unique film follows the children through their vigorous, unremitting training and at play, seeing their dreams and hopes through the eyes of Angelina, aged 11, and Alex, aged 13. The film is introduced and narrated by the late Princess Grace of Monaco.
