Second in a series on education.
Letitia Dean who plays Sharon in EastEnders narrates this story of a new business course introduced in London's Notting Hill to help teenagers excluded from school for truancy or disruptive behaviour develop entrepreneurial skills. The idea for the course came from New Yorker Steve Mariotti, a businessman who, after being mugged by a gang of youths, created a foundation to teach disadvantaged youngsters to put their energy to more positive use. The pilot scheme in London, led by tutor Bertie Ross, is teaching students how to devise business plans before setting up their own stalls in the Portobello Road market.
