This is the film version of the famous adventure book by Johann David Wyss which many viewers have asked to see again. It tells the story of a Swiss watch-maker and his family who lived a hundred years ago. They decide to go to the Colonies, but their ship is wrecked during the voyage and they spend two adventurous years on an uninhabited island.
