Dr. and Mrs. Dale arrived home from Belgium with presents for the family. Dr. Dale learned that re-equipment of Parkwood Hill Hospital had started and that Bruce Laurie would leave in November, leasing his house to Dr. Gardiner. Gwen promptly wrote to Dr Gardner about the ground-floor flat. Sally took over her flat again from Philip Beel and Richard Fulton was jealous when he found them together. Later Sally was visited by a Mr. Rogers from the firm of E.A.L., a rival competitor. Bob was sent home from work with a temperature and Dr. Dale diagnosed tonsilitis.
