on BBC One London

continuing a season of acclaimed films introduced by Barry Norman
Tonight starring Henry Fonda Linda Darnell, Victor Mature
The famous Western story of Wyatt Earp , who accepts the job as Marshal of Tombstone to bring to justice the murderer of his younger brother. John Ford tells the story in a series of magnificently-photographed location sequences climaxed by the famous gun battle between the Earps and the Clantons at the OK Corral, which Ford re-created from the account given to him by Wyatt Earp himself.
