Thirty-Minute Theatre: Swallowing the Anchor

on BBC Two England

by Frank Clements
with Leslie Sands as Commander Edward Dusting, R.N. (Retd.)

Commander Dusting is used to commanding men and having his slightest wish obeyed. So it comes as a great shock when he suddenly finds himself redundant. What does such a person do? What kind of life can he find in the commercial world when all he has to offer is integrity and loyalty? The Commander is soon to find out when his first 'port of call' is at a high-powered P.R. firm and he steps into a world so alien that he can hardly contain himself.
