Ice Pack
In the remote wilderness of arctic Canada, a pack of white wolves has scented prey: musk ox.
As the frozen landscape emerges from five months of winter darkness, photographer
Jim Brandenburg and biologist David Mech travel north to spend an arctic summer in the company of wolves. In stark contrast to their previous experiences, they were soon accepted by the pack, and in the coming months they witnessed aspects of wolf society beyond their expectations.
