An operatic tale of sex, corruption, intrigue and revenge at the court of Emperor Nero. Based on David Alden's award-winning production of Monteverdi's Coronation of Poppea for Welsh National Opera, it is showing in five "soap opera" episodes, sung in Italian with in-vision subtitles.
Emperor Nero is becoming increasingly obsessed with his new lover, the beautiful Poppea, and together they begin to plot her rise to power.
