Presented by Geoff Hamilton In a remote setting just feet from the Isle of Skye railway line is the beautiful garden of Peter Hainsworth. For 30 years he was a nurseryman in the south. On retirement he purchased a derelict cottage and developed a garden in virgin Caledonian forest.
The climate is cold and wet and the garden gets little or no sunshine - and yet it's full of colour and a wide range of plant species. Peter collects seed from all over the cold areas of the world to grow at Achnashellach and it is this, together with his knowledge of such plants, that makes the garden unique.
