Not all parrots live in the rainforest - the kea is found in the snow-covered southern mountains of New Zealand. The birds have been known to attack sheep and are unpopular with farmers, who threaten their food supply by burning off bracken and have introduced stoats to prey on their chicks. The keas, in turn, empty rubbish bins and tear the trims from skiers'cars.
Yet in essence they are simply rather mischievous creatures, striving to survive in a changing world. Narrated by Barry Paine.
