The series about a rural radio station sees Saul Hopwood, who wants to return to city life, complaining that Heartland FM is more ego than community, Clive Bridges, who's lived in the area all his life, reflecting on how newcomers come and go, and Eddie Rose, who plays Andy Stewart records on the station, losing his job at the whisky distillery after 36 years.
