In despair she waits to die, but a chance encounter with the 8-year-old Joanna inspires her to resist fate. Together the old woman and the child explore the bush and the spirit of the murdered tribe is passed on..... This film was the first Tasmanian work financed by the Australian Film Commission and one of the most haunting and beautiful in this season.
