This week's theme: The Land Rubens (1577-1640) Château de Steen at the National Gallery, London
Rubens, as well as being inundated with painting commissions, was also a busy and successful diplomat. When he retired, he bought the Chateau de Steen and settled there with his young second wife. The picture reflects the warmth and happiness of that period. Written and narrated by ALISTAIR SMITH
