Haydn's 12 "London" symphonies, composed in the early 1790s, are arguably his greatest, and today there's an opportunity to hearthe one nicknamed the Miracle. Renowned Swedish trumpeter Hakan Hardenberger is the soloist in HKGruber's trumpet concerto and the programme ends with Shostakovich's anguished final symphony. Presented by Sandy Burnett.
