An investigation into the mystery of the Turin Shroud
Kenneth More narrates this award-winning film, which examines the claim that a cloth kept in Turin Cathedral is genuinely the burial shroud of Jesus Christ and that the ghostly image of a crucified man discovered on the fibres of the cloth is that of Jesus himself.
The film reveals the new scientific and medical evidence that has startled sceptics and believers alike, including two US Air Force scientists' discovery of the three-dimensional information encoded within the image. Swiss forensic expert Max Frci details his discovery of micro-organisms on the shroud that prove to him that the cloth originated in the Holy Lands. Author/historian Ian Wil son presents his research which, for the first time, traces the shroud back to the time of Christ. After the film, Peter France asks Professor Sir George Porter , Nobel-prize-winning scientist and Director of the Royal Institution, for his assessment of the evidence. Dr John Robinson , author of Honest to God and Professor Nicholas Lash , Norris Hulse Professor of Divinity at Cambridge University, argue the astonishing claim that the Turin Shroud may be proof of the Resurrection itself.
