The World About Us: The Manwatcher

on BBC Two England

In this film Desmond Morris, author of The Naked Ape, takes a zoologist's eye-view of our gestures, postures and movement - devices used within the family of Man as the silent language of day-to-day encounters.

The human animal is a creature of action and many of these actions reflect our changing moods. The manwatcher reveals some of the meanings of the many signals we each unwittingly but effectively flash to the world about us.
