The third in a series of programmes about writers and their world Maurice Edelman at Hughenden
The Labour mp, MAURICE EDELMAN , who died last December, wrote two novels about Disraeli, in whom he had a life-long interest. At Hughenden, Buckinghamshire, where Disraeli lived for 30 years, Maurice Edelman talked about the rise of a young man with no connections, good looks, and a desire to win a place in society, who became a best-selling novelist, Prime Minister, and a favourite of Queen Victoria.
