Billingham International Folklore Festival
Towards the end of August every year dancers and singers from all over the world gather in Billingham in the North East of England. In two theatres and in the Town Centre they present what has become widely regarded as one of the most colourful and exciting festivals of its kind.
This year there were groups from USSR, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Poland, Mexico, Yugoslavia, Spain, Greece and Italy. Michael Rodd introduces some of the spectacular moments from the 13th Billingham International Folklore Festival.
