Weather followed by England's Nazareth From Easter onwards, the small Norfolk village of Little Walsingham is invaded every year by as many as half a million pilgrims. There has been a shrine here since 1061. Today there are two, and Derek Jacobi tells of the rivalry that has existed between them, and of the commercialism that has accompanied the growing popularity of the place the pilgrims call
England's Nazareth.
The programme also explores the miracles of healing said to have happened here, including that of an 8-year-old girl critically injured in a road crash, and follows in the the footsteps of two families in search of their own personal miracles. Producer DICK MEADOWS BBC Norwich (R)
