Ways and Means-7 ' What Do We Spend Our Money On ? ' GEOFFREY CROWTHER

on National Programme Daventry

View in Radio Times

The question that Geoffrey Crowther will try to answer this evening involves important economic issues. Food, rent, and clothing are still the largest items, but significant changes in family budgets are now making themselves felt. Geoffrey Crowther will emphasise that if the standard of living is to be maintained, the nation must see that it also spends part of its income on maintaining and extending its stock of capital goods, such as roads, and power and manufacturing plant.
