Campaign proudly presents A Good Old Daze
A musical melodrama starring John Gielgud , Penelope Keith and Leonard Sachs and featuring members of THE PLAYERS THEATRE f The programme traces the history of the attack on our nation's theatres from property speculators and other philistines and the stirring account of the battle to protect our cultural heritage. In 1972, in London alone, no less than 16 theatres, including the Shaftesbury and the Criterion, were threatened - today they still stand. The story concludes with the Campaign's main achievement -the creation of the Theatres
Trust to protect all theatres for the benefit of the nation.'
