Loudon and Co

on BBC Two England

Loudon Wainwright III , the specialist in wry, humorous vignettes accompanied on the acoustic guitar, launches a new series recorded at Glasgow's Old
Fruitmarket with guests Daryl Hall and Des'ree.
Hall, once a session keyboard player for such Philadelphia soul groups as the Stylistics and the Delfonics, found fame in a blue-eyed soul partnership with John Oates. He's now performing solo, most recently on the suitably-named album Soul Alone.
Des'ree, London-born of West Indian parents, had her first big hit in 1992 with Feel So High, one of the numbers she performs tonight. Director Maureen White
