This service, designed as a preparation for Christmas, begins at the West end of the Cathedral in almost complete darkness and ends at the High Altar, with the Cathedral full of light.
During the procession from West to East, from darkness to light, Advent Carols and Lessons unfold the story of Man's Redemption.
