World Weddings: Unorthodox Vows

on BBC Two England

4/5. Acupuncturist Irit and her professional clown fiance Eli are about to be married, but the ceremony they've chosen - a reform wedding - is deemed controversial in Israel. The only legally recognised nuptials in the Jewish state is the ancient Orthodox service, where the woman must be a virgin and undergo ritual purification. Eli's Orthodox family are threatening to beg off - will the couple tie the knot after all?
