In March 2005 a remarkable musical event took place in Dakar, Senegal. More than 150 of Africa's finest musicians, including Youssou N'Dour, Baaba Maal, Salif Keita , Oumou Sangare , Rokia Traore , Manu Dibango , Angélique Kidjo, Orchestra Baobab and Tinariwen, gathered in front of 50,000-strong crowd to perform and promote the Roll Back Malaria campaign.
