The mountains and rolling pasture-land of mid-Wales make an idyllic backcloth to a tough trials course where man and dog combine their unique skills and intelligence in a major test of shepherding or 'sheep herding'.
On the trials course at Cilycwm, each dog has seven sheep to control and is judged on his outrun, lift, fetch, drive, shed and penning Heat 1: Scotland Competitors:
