This episode tells how Jeremy Shafto , now in the power of Miss Kyte, is brought before the secret tribunal of the League of the Spread Eagle. Jeremy has read about secret societies and thinks that he knows what to expect. He soon discovers, however, that these terrorists are modern in their methods and have rather original ideas about such functions as midnight meetings.
