Although the C major Piano Concerto of Beethoven is numbered as No. 1 it was actually written after the No. 2 in B flat. An early work, it belongs to his first period when he was influenced by Haydn. It is a graceful work containing much nne music, and for the period it was written the style of the writing tor the piano is very effective. ORCHESTRA
