On his free day, Jamie Oliver has arranged to replenish his larder, head to the go-karting track with his friends in the afternoon and spend the evening over dinner with Jules, his girlfriend. However, the sporting element of the day turns out to be a huge personal success for Jamie, so he eventually decides to cook for his co-racers as well.
On the menu are blackened sweet aubergine, stuffed baby-bell chilli peppers, carpaccio of beef with chilli, ginger, radish and soy sauce, and a crunchy Thai noodle salad.
