Teddy, a professor now living in the United States of America, returns with his wife to his childhood home in north London. But on his arrival there, he finds himself walking into a volatile mixture of boredom, resentment and mutual dependence culminating in a bitter battle of wills.
This film version of the 1965 West End play features the song "Round Midnight", which was written and performed by Thelonious Monk.
