In an ideal place on the coast of Cornwall, the International Musicians' Seminar meets twice a year; in the spring for instrumental master classes, in the autumn for unique ' Open Chamber Music' sessions in which teachers and students come together in newly formed ensembles.
The artistic director is the great Hungarian violinist Sandor Vegh. In Cornwall he is passing on the ideals he has come to from a lifetime of music with the great names in music of this century, such as Bartok, Kodaly and Pablo Casals. For Vegh it is not sufficient that music making is technically brilliant; it must also be spontaneous and inspired.
In such a ravishingly beautiful place far from the urban roar that today surrounds most professional music making his ideals become reality. Narrated by MICHAEL BERKELEY
