Chris de Souza introduces the first of two Radio 3 Invitation Concerts of Spanish music recorded at the Royal Academy of Music in London. In this concert, given last October, Charivari Agreable perform colourful chamber music from the court of Philip II, including some of Diego Ortiz 's catchy recercadas, organ pieces by Antonio de Cabezon , music for vihuela by Luis de Milan, and arrangements of popular tunes by Hemando de Cabezon.
