Inside the Lords: Tug-of-War

on BBC Two England

The House of Lords is one of the oldest legislative chambers in the world. This three-part series follows the house over the last six months, gaining considerable access to its workings and main characters.

The series opens with the annual tug-of-war contest between the Lords and the Commons, won by the former for the last ten years.
The struggle for supremacy takes on a more serious note as members of the Opposition believe they have found an anomaly in the Government's plans for university tuition fees. Narrated by Clive Anderson.
