Correspondent: El Nino - Global Nemesis

Twice the size of the US, a pool of warm water forming off Peru called El Nino ("the Christ Child") has been responsible for disasters across five continents.
New research has made a causal connection between El Nino and carbon dioxide, and scientists say rising levels of "greenhouse" gases may lead to more instances of the destructive phenomenon.
