Songwriters' Circle

on BBC Two England

A series of acoustic concerts in which three songwriters share a stage at west London's
Subterania club to perform their songs as they were first written, while collaborating on each other's material.
Tonight's musicians are
Jimmy Webb , Chip Taylor and Nick Lowe. Their respective songwriting credits include such classic hits as Wichita
Lineman, Wild Thing and (What's So Funny 'bout) Peace, Love and Understanding, and they take it in turns to play their own tunes and swap anecdotes about the stories behind the songs that they have written. Director Janet Fraser Crook ; Producer
