Finian McLonergan arrives in America from Ireland with a crock of gold, intending to bury it near Fort Knox in the hope that it will multiply in value. But complications arise in the form of his daughter Sharon's amorous adventures and the arrival of a leprechaun who wants the gold back. This enchanting musical contains such memorable songs as That old devil moon, If this isn't love and the engaging, How are things in Glocca Morra ?
