To commemorate the handover of Hong Kongto China, Chinese-American composer Tan Dun and film-maker Mike Newman have collaborated to produce this contemporary multi-media work that draws on material from the sixties. The musical element blends classical, pop, rock and western jazz with Taoist funeral music and popular songs. while a video montage reflects on the significance of the decade and includes film footage of the war in Vietnam, Carnaby Street, and Red Square parades.
