A portrait of Sir Kenneth MacMillan at 60.
With Dame Ninette de
Valois, Lynn Seymour ,
Alessandra Ferri , Clement Crisp , Clive Barnes and Nicholas Georgiadis. Kenneth MacMillan , principal choreographer of the Royal Ballet, has often made ballets about 'the outsider'. This film follows his progress from a dancer who gave up because of stage fright to a choreographer who flouted convention by choreographing uninhibited sexuality.
With extracts from some of his ballets and rehearsals for his latest work The Prince of the Pagodas, which gets its television premiere at 8.55pm.
