The fifth of eight programmes Adrian Hastings
ADRIAN HASTINGS decided he wanted to be a Catholic priest when he was six. He became one and went to work as a missionary in Africa where he came to believe that priests should be able to marry if they wished. After 20 years of campaigning as an unmarried priest, he fell in love. It took him seven years to make his mind up to marry. But, unlike others, he refused to resign from the Church and married as a priest.
