Wayne Shorter Quartet
Jez Nelson presents another chance to hear a concert by Wayne Shorter , one of the most widely respected jazz musicians on the planet. Shorter made a name for himself with Art Blakey 's Jazz Messengers, the second great Miles Davis Quintet and arguably the most influential jazz fusion group, Weather Report. His latest acoustic quartet features Danilo Perez on piano, John Pattitucci on bass and Brian Blade on drums, performing tracks from his album Alegria and reworking some of his classic Miles-era compositions.
