Within 100 years The Times had earned its reputation as 'the Thunderer' - no politician dared ignore its opinions. In recent years, however, The Times itself has made front page news. Strikes, a lock-out and the forced resignation of an editor have called its reputation into question. Is The Times the force it was, or just another newspaper?
