Events in the life and work of Fred Dibnah the Bolton steeplejack
By night Fred works in his shed on his new steam engine. By day he spends more time than intended snooping round scrapyards for parts, pursued by despairing customers, including several vicars. For one he puts up a weathercock and is moved on the spire top to reflect on the afterlife where all pursuit shall end and the burden of toil shall cease and 'I'll be left alone with a pile of rusty steam engines and I shall just be free to get on with mending these ancient relics - for ever'.
