Denis Matthews
Piers Lane reflects on BBC archive recordings by the English pianist Denis Matthews who, in the 1950s and the 1980s, was as well known for his broadcasts about music as he was for his performances. Matthews had a special love for the music of Beethoven and Mozart, and this programme includes piano works by Beethoven and Bach,
Mozart's Fantasy and Sonata in C minor and The Indian Diary by Busoni.
