Olympic Grandstand

on BBC Two England

World champions Russia began the ice hockey competition as favourites, and the tournament has now reached the semi-final stage. On recent form the final four could come from Russia, Canada, Sweden, the United States of America and the Czech Republic. Gerald Sinstadt is the commentator at the rinkside.

The women's figure skating competition features the free programme, covered live, with Ukrainian teenager Oksana Baiul striving to win Olympic gold at her first attempt, just as she did the World Championships title last year at the age of 16. The 1984 and 1988 Olympic champion Katarina Witt performed only modestly at the European Championships, but she is still one of those trying to disappoint Baiul in her ambitions, along with France's Surya Bonaly and China's Lu Chen. Alan Weeks and Barry Davies are the commentators.

Plus all the 14th-day Olympic stories from Lillehammer, which will include key action from the men's alpine combined, speed skating, ski-jumping and the biathlon.

Introduced by Steve Rider and Sue Barker, who are joined by guest expert Robin Cousins, the man who succeeded John Curry as Britain's gold medallist in the men's figure skating back in 1980.

Followed by Sarajevo - a Street under Siege
