Composer of the Week: Hummel

With Donald Macleod. In his final years Hummel wrote a series of piano studies and a piano method which encapsulated his experience and skill as a pianist and teacher- his pupils include some of the great names of the early 19th century - but not Liszt, since Hummel demanded too high a fee.
